Okareka Lake House is only a ten minute drive from the city of Rotorua which is one of the top holiday destinations of New Zealand. Rotorua is surrounded by 11 lakes, and has a variety of thermal and crystal springs near by. There is also a fantastic gondola ride which offers fantastic views over Lake Rotorua. The private beach at Okareka Lake House is great for swimming, and you can also fly fish from the property as well. Lake Okeraka is famous for its Rainbow trout. You could also explore the lake with a kayak, dinghy or speed boat. Windsurfing, sailing and water-skiing is also popular. Jetski, fishing gear and kayaks provided. There is a great walk along the Okeraka walk way (5.5km) over re-generating wetlands or just relax in the beautiful gardens at the private house.
