Motu Tane Island is located in the Lagoon of Bora Bora, near Tahiti in French Polynesia. Papeete, Tahiti’s capital can be reached conveniently overnight from LA. Bora Bora is just a short 45 minute flight from Papeete, Tahiti. The Motu Tane staff meets all guests at Bora Bora and Motu Tane is a 10 minute transfer by the islands private boat.

Motu Tane meaning “Island of Universal love” is a small island made up of three acres of tropical gardens, completely surrounded by a white sandy beach. Crystal clear waters filled with an abundance of coral and marine life gently lap its shores. Situated just a ten minute boat trip across the stunning lagoon of Bora Bora, Motu Tane it is easily and quickly reached.

Motu Tane’s luxurious accommodation is made up of a main house with two enormous bedrooms and living areas. There is also a two bedroom guest house as well as nine separate African style bungalows on the island ensuring all guests have privacy, even from each other. With interior design work by distinguished designer Christian Liaigre this island escape is fashionable and modern without taking away from the breathtaking natural beauty of the islands surrounds.

The main activities of Motu Tane are water-sports which take advantage of the surrounding waters of Bora Bora’s lagoon. The island has a 36ft Boston Whaler and the staff can help you organize dives, fishing, snorkeling trips and visits to near by Motu’s or Bora Bora’s villages for shopping. Guests can choose whether to dine in the main house’s dining room, a romantic dinner on the beach or the coconut palm shaded lawns between the main house and the beach.

The island comes with a 36ft Boston Whaler for exploring local islands and for dolphin and Whale watching. Jet-skiing and sailing can also be arranged.
