Huka Lodge is a luxury residence located in New Zealand on the north island on Lake Taupo. It is considered one of the world’s top retreats and offers world class hospitality and elegance surrounded by magnificent natural beauty.

The main lodge is where you will first arrive into Huka Lodge. This is also where guests can have breakfast, a drink before dinner or to relax by the log fire to read a book! The main lodge offers a magnificent view over WaikatoRiver and Huka Falls and is a very peaceful and homely setting.

In the main lodge is an elegant dining room which is extremely spacious and guests can come together here for good food and fine wine. There is also a Trophy room which is designed for small conferences and business meetings (for up to 20 people) or for private receptions (up to 40 people). The main feature of the Trophy Room is the fine collection of African hunting trophies hanging on the walls.

The guest accommodation consists of 20 Lodge rooms located only 20 metres from the River amongst mature trees. The rooms are very private and secluded and they are very spacious and light, with slatted, wooden outdoor terraces. The bathrooms all have under floor heating.

The signature guest accommodation is the Owner’s cottage. It sits on an elevated and sunny promontory on the Waikato River. Almost completely hidden from view, this luxury hideaway offers magnificent views right down the river to the beautiful Huka Halls. The cottage was originally built in 1937. There are 4 spacious guest suites, and one central living room, dining room, kitchen and a den. The suites all have super king size beds, crisp cotton bed linen, and soft feather and down pillows. Breakfast, pre-dinner drinks and a five-course dinner are included in the daily tariff.

Amenities & Activites

Huka Lodge is situated in beautiful park-like gardens. Explore the gardens and flowers, or perhaps soak in the hot pools. There is an all weather tennis court and also a petanque court for guests use. From the grounds of Huka Lodge, you can reach the beautiful Huka Falls just by a short walk.
